WASHINGTON, DC (PRWEB) July 26, 2006
As consumer demand for 1000-watt smiles and cosmetic-dentistry makeovers grows white-hot, award-winning, locally based Life-Enhancing Dentistry or "LED" (http://www.lifeenhancingdentistry.com) announces that it is now performing "Neuromuscular Dentistry" treatment.
The pampering, cosmetic-dental haven is one of the United States' pioneering centers and the only DC practice that provides this novel, dental-facial aesthetic procedure, which is potentially beneficial to about sixty percent of the population.
As an incentive to consumers who may wish to learn about and try the treatment, only on August 8, 2006, the first 10 people to call 202-829-7600 or email DrLynn @LifeEnhancingDentistry.com about LED's Neuromuscular Dentistry service will receive one (1) free, related, introductory "Bite Analysis" treatment.
Life-Enhancing Dentistry is featured in the cover story of Black Enterprise's August 2006 issue (scheduled to appear on newsstands Friday, July 28, 2006), and in May 2006 the practice won the magazine's prestigious "Business Innovator of the Year" Award.
"Millions of people suffer from migraine, facial and back pain and many other complications ranging from ringing in the ears to teeth grinding, all of which can be the long-term effects of improper bite," explains Lynn D. Locklear, DDS, Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer, LED. "Today, you can opt to undergo non-invasive, pain-free Neuromuscular procedures to properly align your jaw and facial muscles, which can significantly alleviate these conditions as well as non-surgically makeover your smile and face. It's a triple knockout - pain relief, a beautiful smile and a face lift typically within two, brief visits that include a nap time."
How It Works
Comments Claudia Kennedy: "You might have thought it was vanity that brought me in [to Life- Enhancing Dentistry], but I needed it all. My bite had never been correct. We got to a certain stage of treatment and my migraines stopped. I had insisted that there were other reasons, but guess what? Dr. Locklear was right [and today I] don't avoid looking at new pictures of myself. A lot changes when you fix something as central to your health as your bite."
When you bite down, your teeth fit together like puzzle pieces. This "bite" forces your muscles into a certain position whether they like it or not. Quite often, the muscles do not like it, and so they try to find a way out, a way into a comfortable position. This is why people grind their teeth - it's the reaction of the facial muscles trying to find their comfort zone.
Neuromuscular dental treatment involves deprogramming the muscles from their habitual relationship through the use of painless, low-grade electrical stimulus.
