Sitecore Showcases Latest Version of its Industry Leading .NET Enterprise Class Content Management Solution at Microsoft Partner Conference 2006

Sitecore's CMS launched at Microsoft Partner Conference.

San Rafael, CA and Boston, MA (PRWEB) July 11, 2006 -- Sitecore, a leading provider of .NET web content management and portal software and Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, today announced that the new release of the company's content management software (CMS) will be showcased at Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference 2006, at Boston Convention & Exhibition Center in Boston, MA. Sitecore 5.3 will be demonstrated in Sitecore’s Booth #601.

The latest version of Sitecore’s enterprise-class CMS provides increased speed and scalability, enhanced support for web developers who need to rapidly build web sites and intranets, and updated content management functionality to improve business processes and support for marketing professionals and business users. By further enhancing Sitecore’s CMS, the company continues to empower organizations with the tools and resources needed to address critical business issues, such as information management, business stability and compliance. Organizations use these web solutions to increase productivity, reduce costs and improve communication with their customers and key stakeholders.

“Sitecore’s content management software was built out of a development environment with a keen focus on the architecture to support a more dynamic, faster and efficient web application,” said Bjarne Hansen, president, Sitecore USA, Inc. “Unlike most CMS vendors, our success in working with partners and end-users has been in managing the content, not the pages, to enable more successful Internet solutions. The reuse and delivery of content and the ability to access millions of documents in mere seconds is critical in today’s information economy," added Hansen.

Commitment to Microsoft
Sitecore provides .NET web content management and portal software to mid-market commercial, non-profit and government organizations requiring enterprise-class functionality, integration and scalability. With standard features like forums, newsletters, forms and RSS integration, Sitecore delivers immediate value. The Sitecore platform enables the delivery of web solutions and enterprise integrations quickly with out-of-the-box integration with Microsoft SharePoint, Active Directory, Word and InfoPath -- making Sitecore a natural fit within Microsoft environments.

The content manager interface in Sitecore’s CMS provides a broad range of tools to the content contributor which includes a more advanced WYSIWYG editor. The web desktop is an environment synonymous with Microsoft Windows and aimed at users that have advanced editorial, administration or development tasks. The web desktop interface gives the user the broadest flexibility for developing and editing content.

Sitecore was one of the world’s first content-management platforms to take advantage of the .NET framework that has since become an industry standard. The expanded CMS functionality in Version 5.3 takes another significant step by introducing XAML – the basis for Microsoft’s new Vista operating system.

The use of XAML allows the design of a multi-window environment within one browser and radically reduces the development time of web applications.

Sitecore will also preview the company’s next evolution of their CMS which is tightly integrated with Microsoft Office 2007 from both a usability and technology perspective and will be available to customers later this summer.

Growing List of Partners
Sitecore’s growing network of Certified Sitecore Partners provides customers with consulting, implementation and support services. Among their customers are a range of major corporations, for example, Computer Associates, GlaxoSmithKline, Sara Lee, ABN Amro, FMC, Beiersdorf, Webtrends, InFocus, Newspaper Association of America, Experian Group, Loopbaan BV, NKT Cables, Perstorp, and International Merchant Services along with a long list of public organizations and municipalities such as King County, Washington, Suffolk County, New York, North Vancouver Schools District, and City of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
