Frisco, TX (PRWEB) July 12, 2006 -- Layered Technologies, Inc. (www.layeredtech.com) reveals more about xCommand for LayeredX (www.layeredX.com). LayeredX is a new dedicated gaming server division of Layered Technologies. LayeredX offers premium HP server hardware, a multiple Tier 1 backbone blended network, and a specially designed gaming control panel called xCommand (xComm).

xComm is a web-based user interface that allows complete and flexible control of every aspect of a gaming server. “xComm truly sets LayeredX apart from others in the marketplace,” says Todd Abrams, President of Layered Technologies. “xComm is one of the few complete game hosting management systems available on the market today, allowing current resellers to confidently make the leap into game hosting, and attracting gamers, clans and communities with its simplistic features and ease of use."

xComm Control Panel features include:

--Install a game server, configure it, control it, and erase it on-demand from your web-browser.
--Integrated FTP server allows easy file management for clients.
--Simple user management keeps games customer-specific and allows your clients to control their own games in their own browsers.
--Multi-server control from one login and one screen. xComm’s “At A Glance” page allows you to oversee and quickly manage all of your dedicated servers and their games.
--ZERO performance issues from server manipulation. xComm is NOT run from the dedicated gaming server itself, but from the LayeredX Core Network. Users login and send commands from the xComm’s location in the LayeredX Core Network from which commands are routed in non-interfering formats to the game server, causing no lag or skips in the game from overuse. Most other gaming control panels run FROM the gaming server, causing lag, skips, and other performance issues gamers notice.
--Automated server restarting. Game servers crash usually due to client error, corrupt maps, or improperly coded game modifications. xComm automatically restarts a game server upon crashing, cutting down on support lag time.
