Celebopedia opens its doors to user contributions.

Celebopedia.com -- Celebopedia, the Internet's leading celebrity encyclopedia, announced today that it has launched its new Web 2.0 phase. The millions of visitors to the Web site at http://www.celebopedia.com will now be able to create a user account that allows them to edit celebrity profiles and add new profiles to the online encyclopedia. User submissions are reviewed by the Celebopedia editorial team before being published to the Web site.

Celebopedia contains over 2500 celebrity profiles. Features include biographies, news, trivia and quick links to some of the best resources on the Web for information on each celebrity profiled.

Celebopedia monthly announcement of the most searched for celebrities has become a popular topic of discussion among bloggers. Angelia Jolie garnered the most interest in January, April and May. Olympian Tanith Belbin led in February. Beyonce Knowles topped the charts in March. World Cup star David Beckham was the search leader in June. Maria Sharapova was the search leader for the year 2005.
