ROCKVILLE, Md. (PRWEB) July 25, 2006 -- Ariadne today announced that, as a part of its growth strategy and to enhance sales and marketing presence for its popular pathway analysis software Pathway Studio®, it has expanded North American and European sales teams with recent hires of David Thorpe (USA), John Clouston (USA) and Leonard Keenan (UK).
In January of 2006, Ariadne began expanding North American and European operations with hires proficient in bioinformatics sales and technical support. Ariadne software products provide life scientists with “next step” applications, saving time and simplifying the interpretation of experimental results. Products include Pathway Studio (desktop and enterprise), MedScan information harvesting software, and pathway databases.
Consistent with its plan to deploy the industry best professional sales team, Ariadne expands its North American sales operations with the addition of executives John Clouston and David Thorpe. John Clouston joins Ariadne as Sales Manager and to focus on the development of the desktop systems market segment. Mr. Clouston held similar positions at the former Silicon Genetics and in the bioinformatics (GeneSpring) group at Agilent Technologies. With an appointment as Director, Enterprise Sales, David Thorpe will lead corporate and enterprise sales effort in North America and Europe. Mr. Thorpe brings to Ariadne 30 years of experience in biotechnology and bioinformatics sales with previous senior-level positions at OriGene Technologies, CambridgeSoft Corp., and InforMax, Inc (now Invitrogen).
As part of the growth strategy in Europe, Ariadne has hired Len Keenan as Business Development Associate. Len has previously held Business Development and Sales Management positions at a variety of software companies and has considerable experience of selling software into the European life science market.
“As part of Ariadne’s continued growth, we have recently expanded our sales team with the addition of three professionals with extensive experience in the bioinformatics market,” commented Ilya Mazo, President of Ariadne. “We are well positioned now to compete aggressively in both desktop and enterprise markets of systems biology software”.
“I am very happy to be working with Ariadne Genomics. They are focused on putting the needs of the customer first, and as a result have developed the best range of tools for systems biology on the market,” adds Len Keenan. “I am sure our products will continue to generate a great deal of interest in the European life science community.”
Free trials for all Ariadne products are available at www.ariadnegenomics.com. Software demonstrations via web seminars, phone, and on-site appointment are available from the Ariadne sales team.
