Thies Named Vice President of Marketing for World Marketing

World Marketing, a premier provider of integrated direct marketing solutions for Fortune 1000 companies nationwide, named Jeff Thies vice president of marketing.

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) July 13, 2006 -- World Marketing, a premier provider of integrated direct marketing solutions for Fortune 1000 companies nationwide, named Jeff Thies vice president of marketing. Thies will report to Mac Rodgers, president and chief executive officer.

Thies has nearly 15 years of experience and will oversee all marketing functions with World Marketing. His previous work has earned him recognition within the direct marketing industry, including the MFSA’s L.U. “Luke” Kaiser Education Award for outstanding contributions to education in the direct mail industry.

Thies spent thirteen years with AMS Response in Paramount, California, most recently as vice president, marketing. He has extensive experience in direct marketing and direct mail, including direct marketing product development, marketing strategy and management consultation, Hispanic marketing and Postal and Mailing Service Production Management.

“Jeff is an industry veteran and a strong intuitive marketer. Throughout his career he has demonstrated expertise in not just directing and managing company-wide marketing efforts but in shaping business trends in the direct marketing and direct mail industries,” said Rodgers. “We are thrilled that Jeff has chosen to join the World Marketing team. He is very well-known for his expertise in specialized business-building marketing efforts and we look forward to having him share his expertise with us.”

Thies has co-authored several industry white papers on Business Ethics including “Corporate Governance, Transparency and Principle-Based Leadership” presented to the 2006 International Business Ethics Conference to “Ethical Reflection and Decision Making” published by Houghton Mifflin Publishing. Thies also published “Mexican Catholicism in Southern California,” an ethnographic study of Mexican cultural traditions and practices as part of the American University Series by Peter Lang Publishing.

Thies is an MBA professor of direct marketing and Latin American studies for the College of Business Administration, Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles. He holds a B.A. in philosophy from St. John’s College, Camarillo, CA, an M.A. from St. John’s Graduate School and a Doctor of Ministry from the Claremont School of Theology, Claremont, CA. He also received Professional Direct Marketer Certification from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. He is also Treasurer and a member of the board of directors of the Mailing and Fulfillment Service Association.
