LearnShare, the consortium of Fortune 1000 companies organized to research, design, purchase, package and share best practices in the training and development field, today announced the launch of a new offering that enables LearnShare members to implement a Learning Management System designed specifically for training outside/reseller sales organizations and staff. LearnShare’s “Customer-Facing LMS” is a training portal for member companies’ business customers that represents or sells their products. So far, LearnShare members in a variety of industries have found success, seeing increased revenues as salespeople grow their product knowledge.

The Customer-Facing LMS has been implemented globally by several LearnShare members, including a top healthcare organization that provided training to its partners and a Fortune 500 chemical and transportation construction company that implemented training for their oil distributors. As a result of the portal’s implementation, the companies have realized increased revenue to their bottom line. The portal can be customized for each company, and can be as simple or complex as necessary.

“Training the workforce that represents your products, whether or not directly employed by your company, is a new, critical demand,” said Lois Webster, CEO of LearnShare. “As our awareness increased of the need for training this important constituency, we created a low-cost, customized training portal that effectively trains out-of-house customer-facing workforces.”

The LearnShare LMS serves as an enterprise’s online learning environment that empowers the management, delivery and tracking of blended learning, plus provides the ability to monitor and quantify the overall cost and impact of education and training. This additional Customer-Facing LMS portal offering widens the scope of a company’s training capabilities.

“The idea to build this portal began as an educational initiative, but the impact of a better trained workforce in customer-facing positions often results in increased sales,” continued Ms. Webster. “LearnShare is pleased to add this additional learning solution to new and existing members at a very minimal cost.”
