Media Matchmaker Matches Three-Year Sports Sponsorship

Energy drink and junior golf tour meet online and secure multi-year partnership.

Today, Media Matchmaker, the premier on-line service that systematically matches producers of entertainment and sports content with advertisers through their unique web-based interface, has announced their first “pure sponsorship” deal between two client companies.

SwingJuice Energy Drink, the new energy drink designed specifically for golf athletes, and The International Junior Golf Tour (IJGT), took less than three weeks to secure a multi-year sponsorship after meeting each other for the first time on the website. The two entities have agreed to terms on a three-year, multi-platform sponsorship package for the sixty city tour, that includes an undisclosed sum of cash, Cable TV spots, sponsorship of broadband content, event signage, product sampling, and sales exposure on the IJGT web site.

Jon Mason, President of SwingJuice, commented, “This is a great opportunity for us – and one that would never have happened without the use of Media Matchmaker. We’ve been looking for opportunities to get our product into the hands of young golfers and it’s been time consuming and costly to find appropriate marketing opportunities. It’s kind of funny, I’m based in Rhode Island and Jerry is in Massachusetts, and we had to find each other through a Los Angeles based service.” Swingjuice has also been seen on the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, and the Champion’s Tour.

The SwingJuice deal would not have happened had we not met on Media Matchmaker. Through the IJGT, SwingJuice will receive broad exposure to a very targeted audience.”

The deal establishes Swing Juice as the Official Energy Drink of the premier international golf tour for aspiring young men and women golfers. Headquartered in Hilton Head, South Carolina, the IJGT and its sister company, The International Junior Golf Academy, provide thousands of junior golfers the opportunity to realize their dream of playing competitive golf. Many of the Tour's players go on to receive college golf scholarships and several have gone on to play professionally, including current LPGA Future's Tour phenom Song-Hee Kim from South Korea who is coached by IJGA Director of Golf, Gary Gichrist.
