Grapevine - Debut Novel Release

Andrew Morris joins the Independent Publishing Phenomenon with the Print-on-Demand Availability of Grapevine through Lulu.com

Worcester, UK (PRWEB) July 16, 2006 -- New author Andrew Morris takes his observations and experiences, from travelling the world as part of the communications revolution, and uses them for inspiration in a novel; with a different slant on what that revolution may mean. Set in the year 2000, in the afterglow of Y2K, Grapevine is partly the story of Danny Wetherby, who turns over her life and sets out to search for ... something ... and this time she might be paying attention. However, there is a saying: "Be careful what you seek, for you may find it."

Grapevine also takes a path along the road of "If Only ...":
If only we had been prepared ...
If only we could be bothered ...
If only we cared ... enough ...
If only we had been organised ...
What if, somewhere, someone was? How would you know?

For Danny Wetherby, the summer of 2000 brought the unexpected. What she achieved, she was not attempting; what she found, she was not seeking; for what found her, she was not prepared. By the autumn, her world was full of chaos. But then ... it often is, for a mathematician.

With a cast of ABC people (that's Argumentative, Bloodyminded and Cantankerous) ... plus betting, bureaucrats, chaos, computers, fireworks, geeks, maths, motorbikes, music, politicians, trains, walnuts, the Internet, the Taj Mahal and a four-poster bed.
And the Grapevine.

But not necessarily in that order.

What goes on in your town?

Grapevine is currently available for purchase from www.lulu.com; and shortly through retail booksellers, on-line and conventional. ISBN: 978-1-4116-8597-0

About the author
Andrew Morris has spent over 25 years as a telecommunications engineer and travelled with that career to Asia, the Americas and Europe. Dealing with the reality of your surroundings can be a problem when working abroad, rather than being a tourist who can skim the surface and ignore the rest. Some deal with this in direct ways, often through the local nightlife; Andrew turned to writing, using his life experiences as inspiration, and then adding a slice of "What if ... ?" to an already sideways view of reality. Grapevine is the first result, several more are in progress.
