This is a ‘cool’ place to work. We want that to come across in the site.”
The Careers site was designed from the job applicant’s perspective. In addition to providing the type of information a prospective applicant is most interested in learning about a company, the user-friendly site makes it easy to apply for a position online. One of the goals of the site was the creation of its new Applicant Tracking System, which was completely developed in-house. It allows the applicant to log into their account at any point to receive the status of their application.
“This isn’t your typical ‘job Web site,’” says Matt Cardwell, Director of Web Marketing, who helped design the site. “It’s extremely user-friendly and interactive, but most importantly, it conveys what is special about our company and culture.”
In the View All Careers section, those interested in joining the Quicken Loans team can view available positions with detailed job descriptions. They can also create and edit their own profile, which enables the company to notify them if a position in their area of interest becomes available. Applicants can use this feature to apply online, submit their resume and check on the status of their application. Quicken Loans has a strong presence at local job fairs, colleges and other recruiting venues, and a calendar of upcoming recruiting events is available on the site.
In another section called About Our Company people can learn about Quicken Loans history, company values and philosophies, and its unique award-winning culture. The Awards and Accolades section details awards received in the areas of workplace satisfaction, technological innovation and business leadership.
Quicken Loans places a great emphasis on professional and personal development, and offers leadership training, tuition assistance and even a personal empowerment coach.
