How To Persuade Kids To Enjoy Reading

A new method of promoting reading skills was unveiled Monday. A Free Computer based talking book was released by Jamaby Press.

Tokyo (PRWEB) July 16, 2006 -- The computer based children`s audio book, Dick Whittington, was released Saturday by Jamaby Press. Available at www.jamaby.com it works across all platforms that can support Java 1.4, this includes Windows XP and Mac Os X.

The software is good for a wide variety of children from one to fifteen years of age. Jason Byrne originally created the Java based software and graded the traditional English Children`s story to help foreign student`s improve their English. However, it has tested well with younger native speaker children, who enjoy the computer voice interaction. Equally, Jason believes students with learning difficulties should find the listen and read style of the book motivating and beneficial. The Dick Whittington Audio Book is available from www.jamaby.com, in free download form.

About The Author
Jason Byrne has over 10 years of teaching experience, including 6 years in Japan. He graduated from the University of Hull and has higher degrees from Hull and the University of Southern Queensland. In addition to the Dick Whittington Audio Book, Jason has authored Yakuza, his first published novel. He is also the creator of Peetareader, a software based thesaurus. He is now busy working on new upcoming projects. Feedback always welcome.
