(PRWEB) July 18, 2006 -- Real Souvenir Playing Cards ™ (www.realsouvenirplayingcards.com) has introduced a deck of playing cards ($8) which features Covered Bridges from Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky. This historical deck brings the collectible side of playing cards to a smaller, local, more personable level and will be available July 31, 2006.

This covered bridge deck of playing cards (www.coveredbridgeplayingcards.com) features 54 full color images by photographer, Bill Miller of “Wish I Was There Photography.” Mr. Miller’s past work includes photographs of the Ohio Barns he took during Ohio’s bicentennial.

The face cards are designed the way "souvenir" playing cards used to be printed with an image on each card, historical facts and information on the faces. “Most souvenir playing cards today will have a unique photo on the back, but then have normal faces,” says playing card collector and Newt's Playing Cards owner, James Esteph. “Using normal faces on the decks has become a cheap way for publishers to get around what used to be a wonderful collectible.”

This deck holds true to the historical side of “souvenir” playing cards by using 54 beautiful images of covered bridges from Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky.

About the Publisher, Newt's Playing Cards
Established in 2000 as Newton's Novelties, Newt's began exclusively selling playing cards in 2002. Over the years NewtsCards.com (www.NewtsCards.com) has transformed into the playing card portal on the internet offering anything from card blogs, to a card search engine. It is the dream of Newt's Playing Cards to bring back more of the historical look of souvenir playing cards. (www.realsouvenirplayingcards.com)
