Atlantic Seafood Will Hold a Series of Grand Re-Opening Parties

Atlantic Seafood will hold a series of grand re-opening parties on July 28, 29 and 30 to celebrate its newly renovated and expanded store at 1400 Boston Post Road, which will include cooking demonstrations, grilling tips and plenty of free samples.

Old Saybrook (PRWEB) July 20, 2006 -- Atlantic Seafood will hold a series of grand re-opening parties on July 28, 29 and 30 to celebrate its newly renovated and expanded store at 1400 Boston Post Road (next to the Dairy Queen), which will include cooking demonstrations, grilling tips and plenty of free samples.

Atlantic Seafood, which has been a retailing fixture on the shoreline since 1978, is now owned by Lisa and Mike Feinman, who bought the store in 2005 and expanded its size -- and its many offerings. Atlantic Seafood now features an expansive heat-and-serve menu as well as fresh homemade salads and Orsini's sausages. A new farm stand run by the Littel Acres Farm Market adjacent to the store offers homegrown vegetables and fruit.

The grand re-opening parties will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, July 28, and Saturday, July 29, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 30.

Among the weekend's many festivities:

  • A cooking demonstration on Friday at noon by Jeff Renkl, the chef/owner of the popular Cafe Routier in Westbrook.
  •
  • Free grilling tips and samples from Carl Orsini, proprietor of the former Orsini's Sausages, a well-known Main Street retailer for over twenty five years in Old Saybrook.
  •
  • Recipe tips and plenty of free tastings on Saturday and Sunday from Susan Hainsworth, Atlantic Seafood's in-house caterer, in addition to surprise guest-chef appearances.

Random drawings for prizes, including free lobsters, as well as live broadcasts by radio stations WLIS and KOOL 101 FM.

Atlantic Seafood is open seven days a week and can be reached at 860-388-4527. The fish market special events also can be seen on www.guidezilla.com.
