Parents of college students are beginning to gear up for the 06/07 college year and their children are directing them to the Internet for important information ... specifically where to order care packages from.

College students are generally not shy about what they want and how they want it. As the Fall 2006 semester approaches, many college students are beginning to educate their parents on the basics of being a parent of a college student.

“I let my folks know straight out that I want care packages and I want them pretty often,” Lisa Custodio, Brooklyn, New York explains. “Gift baskets and care packages are like a right of passage, I let my parents know that, I even sent them the links to a website that sells them,” Custodio continues.

Parents of college students have been flocking to the Internet to find resources for everything from college gift baskets, to extra-long sheets, to laundry tips. “I am gearing up for another semester and I am not even the one going to college,” Carol Marchetti, explains as her youngest daughter prepares for her Freshman year.

“I know the drill thanks to her brother and sister. I am just going to make sure she gets her monthly care package, a credit card and an overdraft for her checking account, that should cut down on the frantic phone calls,” Marchetti muses.

First time college parents often fret about the unknown, however, the Internet is providing great resources including care package gurus,, Inc.

“It’s as much about us learning as our kids learning,” Marchetti explains. “After one kid in college you are ready to teach College Kid Parenting 101,” Marchetti concludes.
