Dallas, TX (PRWEB) July 20, 2006
i-Tex Wireless, Inc., a Metroplex based high technology company today announced the establishment of a high-profile Business and Scientific Advisory Board to guide the company through its next growth phase.
The i-Tex Wireless Business and Scientific Advisory Board will provide the company’s management with global business strategy and ongoing advice on a broad range of complex issues including company and product positioning, financing, sales, marketing, corporate partnerships and target markets. The Advisory Board is being chaired by Dr. Da Hsuan Feng, Vice President for Research and Economic Development and Professor of Physics at the University of Texas at Dallas.
According to Joseph Cordina, a founder and CEO of i-Tex Wireless, “My colleagues and I at i-Tex Wireless are very fortunate and excited to have met Dr. Feng, and delighted with the genuine interest and capacity from the University of Texas at Dallas to assist rapidly growing companies like ours to move forward globally. We are enjoying the benefits first-hand of his commitment to creating an “outside-in” model for UT Dallas, where synergies between outside corporations and the University are being actively sought and extended. We believe that this is definitely a win-win model -- for UT Dallas, for i-Tex Wireless and even for the broader Dallas regional entrepreneurial and business community.”
Feng highlighted the reasons for UT Dallas supporting i-Tex Wireless in establishing its Advisory Board. He said, "As a 21st century research university with aspirations of becoming world-class, UT Dallas must not only be an intellectual engine, but also an economic engine. The latter role takes on many dimensions, but proactively building the credibility of small but highly innovative companies in the Dallas business community must be one of them."
The i-Tex Wireless Business and Scientific Advisory Board comprises seven industry and academic leaders, each with a significant track record as well as global connections in his or her field of expertise:
- Dr. Da Hsuan Feng, Vice President for Research and Economic Development and Professor of Physics, the University of Texas at Dallas, Chairperson
