Word Cloud Site to Promote Singapore Blogs

SGBlogs88.com is the latest word cloud site specially developed for Singapore bloggers to promote their blogs. The tags are localized with unique Singlish terms and commonly found in Singapore blogs.

The evolution of weblogs has recently brought about the trend of tagging, when the author of a blog associates the entry to one or more popular keywords. Popular websites like Technorati, Del.icio.us and Gmail are built on the basis of tags.

According to many Search Engine Optimization (SEO) practitioners, link popularity is a major factor influencing the popularity of a blog site or any website, for this matter.

"This is especially useful when the hyperlinked word is related to your site’s content." says Shi Hengcheong, owner of MyWebCulture (http://www.mywebculture.com), and a SEO specialist based in Singapore. "The way to get your site to the top of the ranks in popular search engines is to pick a niche subject and establish yourself as an expert in that area by posting up useful content in that area, and getting relevant links to your site."

Following the Word Cloud format made popular by 500Words.com, and using the WordSiteBuilder script developed by owners of 97Tags.com, SGBlogs88.com (http://www.sgblogs88.com) offers a niche service and targets to help 88 blogs started only by Singaporeans, by offering a one-way keyword link to these Singapore blogs for a minimal fee.

The tags used in SGBlogs88.com are also much localized for Singaporeans, featuring words like "Talk Cock" - which essentially means to talk nonsense, and "Sotong" - which is "Squid" in Malay, but is used locally to describe a person who is dumb, or in a world of his own. Word claimers can choose their keyword from the 88 default ones that are offered, or suggest their own keyword that they feel is suitable to associate to their own blog.

The site will not only help each of the blogs build up their popularity by providing targeted traffic, but will also serve as a landing page for Internet surfers to see who is in the trend for a particular keyword on the Internet.

Because SGBlogs88.com has established a niche market position by targeting the ever increasing number of blogs in Singapore, it is expected that the words will sell out very quickly.
