Inside Higher Ed Teams with Eduventures to Produce Column That Tackles Readers' Challenges

“The Strategist” column to provide practical solutions and best practices for administrators in higher education.

Inside Higher Ed announced today that it has teamed with Eduventures, the leading research and consulting firm in the education industry, to produce a monthly column called The Strategist that will tackle readers’ toughest challenges and most promising opportunities. Each month readers are invited to submit their questions, from which one question will be addressed in detail in the column by an Eduventures’ analyst and/or consultant.

“As the trusted source of timely information to the higher education industry, we are constantly approached by our readers with their strategic questions and issues,” said Inside Higher Ed Editor Scott Jaschik. “We’re excited to give our readers a chance to get advice on difficult issues the same way they get the news from us: for free.”

In the first installment of The Strategist, which was issued today, Eduventures Senior Consultant Kristin L. Greene responds to the question of “How can colleges best mix on-campus and online delivery of instruction?” Her overview of the planning and integration issues schools face in starting online courses, which were gleaned from actual consulting engagements, provides insights and guidance that can help institutions advance the effort and avoid the pitfalls.
