Joe Asady, CEO of Digital Warehouse USA, Inc. (and its sister company Netfast Communications, Inc.) was honored with the 2006 M/WBE Advocate of the Year Award. The award recognizes outstanding organizations, businesses and individuals that have enhanced New York City neighborhoods by fostering small business activity and creating greater economic opportunity. Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg and Small Business Commissioner Robert W. Walsh presented Mr. Asady with this prestigious award at a reception held on Monday, July 17th, 2006 at Gracie Mansion.

“Establishing our corporate headquarters in Long Island City has helped revitalize our neighborhood into a thriving business community and create many exciting career opportunities in network infrastructure technologies for our employees,” said Mr. Asady.

Netfast Communications was founded by Mr. Asady in 1994, and achieved success by combining engineering and network expertise with a level of customer service that many bigger firms lacked. When it was founded, there were few minority-owned companies in the IT business, and the market was crowded with competition. Today, the company maintains a dynamic and diverse workforce, and is an active participant in the revitalization of Long Island City, Queens.
