Visit the Ninth Annual Bradley Space and Aviation Day, on July 14, at Bradley International Airport, to benefit the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp. This free event, from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., attracts over seven thousand attendees every year and promises to be packed with aircraft, activities, live demonstrations and refreshments for families, friends and aviation-buffs.

Visit the Ninth Annual Bradley Space and Aviation Day, on July 14, at Bradley International Airport, with all proceeds going to the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp. This free event, from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., attracts over seven thousand attendees every year and promises to be packed with aircraft, activities, live demonstrations and refreshments for families, friends and aviation-buffs. Space and Aviation Day is coordinated by Bradley Family Day, Inc., a nonprofit group of volunteers. This year's presenting sponsor is Pratt & Whitney. Scheduled event activities include:
New Space Race (5K Run/Walk begins at 8:00 a.m.): This 5K at the Runway, organized by the Hartford Marathon Foundation, is your opportunity to run by some of the coolest planes and jet fighters ever built. The flat, loop route starts on the Connecticut Air National Guard tarmac and ends at the Base.

Connecticut Air National Guard Base (9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.): Visitors get up close and personal with military fighters and transport aircraft. A tethered hot air balloon will offer AM rides (weather permitting). The main stage will feature live music, magic, and rope twirling. The Connecticut State Police will have several of their specialty units on display. The Hole In The Wall Gang Camp will have a "Camp Away From Camp" with woodworking, arts & crafts, face painting, and games for children.

New England Air Museum (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.): Visitors can tour vintage aircraft displays, build water rockets, and see Apollo artifacts.

Free Parking and Shuttle Service to all Venues.

Directions: Space and Aviation Day is held on the West side of the airfield with free parking and shuttle service between all event locations. Follow parking direction signs from Route 75 and Route. 20. Admission and event parking are free of charge. Security Notice: Coolers, backpacks, guns or knives are not permitted on the base.

The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, founded by Paul Newman in 1988, is a nonprofit residential summer camp and year-round center designed to serve children and families coping with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Each summer more than 1,000 children between the ages of seven and fifteen from across the country and abroad attend free of charge. The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp offers programs in the off-season for campers, their families, and healthcare professionals. For more information please visit holeinthewallgang.org/events/
