Short Film "Lobo" Nominated for Best Action Film

"Lobo" to debut at the Action on Film International Festival.

Encendimiento Total Productions announces the premiere of their short film “Lobo” at the 2006 Action on Film International Festival in Long Beach, CA. The event will take place July 28-30 at the Long Beach Convention Center.

“Lobo” will debut Saturday July 29th at 2:30 p.m. in screening room number six. The short film has also been nominated for Best Action Film – Independent. Its Writer/Director, Limary Vargas, was also nominated for Best New Writer and Best Action Sequence for her feature lenght script version of "Lobo".

“Lobo” is the story of a hitman who works for a drug trafficker in Tijuana and ends up falling in love with his boss’ sister, a young woman who hates everything drug related. Everything ... except maybe Lobo. Complicating things is a turf war for control of the border drug trafficking between Lobo's boss and his rival, a violent woman known only as “The Salvadorean”.

“Lobo” was mainly a collaboration between actors from Puerto Rico and Mexico. But its cast also includes actors from Cuba, El Salvador and the United States. The film is 20 minutes long, and it was filmed in Tijuana and Los Angeles.
