Unique Advertoys Being Developed on Project Y© by Yummy Media, Inc.

3D desktop Advertoys creates new immersive advertising possibilities for online advertisers and marketers.

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) July 22, 2006 -- Yummy Media, Inc., creator of 3D Desktop Toys, is using its proprietary desktop engine Project Y© to develop brandable and interactive Advertoys for businesses looking for new ways to advertise online. The Project Y© platform moves beyond the typical flat, 2D desktop characters and virtual pets currently available on the Internet. It allows for the development of windowless, high quality, 3D animations containing unique physics and AI capabilities. Businesses interested in introducing a brand, product, or campaign in a new and entertaining way, will find an Advertoy can be targeted, extremely viral, and most of all, fun.

“Interactive games were the first step, but immersive advertising — the idea of interacting with advertisements — will also include Advertoys using the Project Y© platform. For example, when your desktop cavemen buddy gets hungry, you’d better feed him a Big Mac or he might become a real pain in the ass,” says Yummy Media Chief Operating Officer Jim Lennox.

Project Y© is designed to import assets created in standard 3D editing tools like 3D Studio Max, LightWave or Maya. The customizable user interface can incorporate additional 3D content and shaders thus eclipsing traditional ones that use standard OS interfaces or Flash. The basic components within the Project Y© desktop engine are the rendering system, animation controllers, UI layout utilities, import functions, shader processors, picking utilities, and physics engine. The design of Project Y© has also recently extended to the incorporation of a desktop tray facility. This small process controller is loaded at startup and functions as both a monitor and scheduler for an Advertoy as well as an internet communication system.

The Project Y© platform has been used on Advertoys developed by Yummy Media for the San Diego Gulls hockey team and Moller International's M400 Skycar. For further info about Project Y© and Advertoys, please go to www.yummy-media.com or contact (760) 839-0321.

Yummy Media Inc. moves beyond the clutter of the internet by developing highly visual, “outside the browser” 3D animated and interactive desktop applications and content featuring Desktop Toys and Advertoys.
