Be a part of the audience for an historic taping of a new Comedy Central Internet show which will star all comics of Middle-Eastern American heritage. This new show is entitled, “The Watch List” and will be a mix of stand up comedy and sketch.

It is being produced for Comedy Central’s Motherload Internet channel by Arab-American comedian Dean Obeidallah (Co-founder NY Arab-American Comedy Festival- http://www.arabcomedy.org) and Emmy award winning comedy writer for his work on Saturday Night Live, Max Brooks. This is the first time that a major American entertainment company has agreed to present a show featuring all Middle-Eastern American comics. (The first taping is Arab-American and Iranian-American comics.)

The top Middle Eastern-American comics from across the country are coming to NYC to be a part of this taping including: Ahmed Ahmed (Comedy Central, Punk'd), Maz Jobrani ("Curb Your Enthusiasm," co-star new ABC sitcom this fall, "Lets Rob,"), Dean Obeidallah (CNN, Air America Radio), Aron Kader (Comedy Central), Maysoon Zayid (MTV, NBC Nightly News), Nasry Malak (ABC's "20/20"), Ronnie Khalil plus several others.

“We are very grateful that Comedy Central has provided us with the opportunity to share on a national level what its like to be of Middle Eastern heritage with our fellow Americans. We hope that this show will not only be very funny and entertaining, but also that it will foster understanding and dispel negative stereotypes that people may have about us as a group,” commented co-producer Dean Obeidallah.
