International Web Accessibility Tools Consortia Releases Toolbar Plug-in for Opera Browser

WAT-C released a new version of it's web accessibility toolbar for the Opera web browser. The toolbar includes a several built-in tools to aid developers and quality assurance testers design web sites that meet international and federal accessibility requirements.

Nashua, NH (PRWEB) July 24, 2006 -- The Web Accessibility Tools Consortium (WAT-C) [http://www.wat-c.org] today announced the release of the popular testing tool, the Web Accessibility Toolbar for the Opera web browser. Based on the original web testing toolbar created by Vision Australia [http://www.visionaustralia/ais/toolbar], this new version of the toolbar provides Opera accessibility developers, testers, and accessibility analysts a rich set of tools available through their browser.

The tool bar is based on significant development contributions of Cedric Trevisan of The Paciello Group (TPG) [http://www.paciellogroup.com] and Steve Faulkner of Vision Australia [http://www.visionaustralia.org.au].

"We're excited to announce toolbar support for the Opera browser, particularly on the heels of the recent release of Opera 9. WAT-C now supports three key browser platforms including Internet Explorer, Firefox, and now Opera," said Faulkner, director of the WAT-C. "Cedric Trevisan's dedication to this project was immeasurable. It is our hope the Opera developer community will take advantage of the tools and build accessible web sites."
