The Collective You – Just Like Radio, Except Closer to the Bar
The Collective You bursts onto the podcasting scene with three sassy divas and one witty Starbuck.
(PRWEB) July 24, 2006 -- The Collective You, a new podcast at http://www.collectiveyou.com, bursts into the World Wide Web with hilarious segments and general bafoonery for the masses. Hosted by three women – Jane, Michelle, and Nickie – these three divas leave no topic unturned.
Chock full of witty banter and wacky bits, the three “radio divas,” as one listener called them, are supported by their producer and board op, Danny Starbuck. Each brings their own comic relief to the show, featuring everything from celebrity gossip, to sports, to a little bit of literary entertainment, not to mention news of the bizarre.
Every week, the crew explores a favourite alcoholic drink with the Collective Lush where listeners can participate at home. Make the drink, drink the drink, and give them your rating. The stars of the show either pans or raves the beverage. Listeners can email suggestions for drinks and other drink-related items.
Womb to Tomb, where Michelle announces births and deaths for the week, is another favourite topic. Sports Rave is one of their weekly features as well. Nickie keeps up to date on all the happenings in the sports world. From football to hockey to horse racing – she keeps everyone in the know.
Literary Nook and Cranny will feature a random Shakespearean quote of the week where the crew breaks down what Shakespeare was talking about – sort of the Collective You Notes version of the quote.
For Hollywood gossip, Jane keeps the gang informed for hook ups, break ups, and who's having whose baby. Jane will also wax poetic about the state of communism in the US - if there is such a thing - and its effect on our economy and society.
When asked where the idea came from, the divas all agreed. “It sort of just came to us one night while drinking,” laughs Jane.
As Episode 4 hits the airwaves, the crew prepares to record Episode 5. “It’s certainly the bright point in my weekend,” says Nickie. Michelle agrees, “I can’t wait to record the show and see what happens.”
One reviewer states, “I simply can not wait for the next episode, maybe they will soon do more than one show a week.”
Episode 4 was recently released where the crew had a special extended version of Collective Lush and the girls gave advice on what to avoid when picking out a man. You won’t want to miss this.
