University of Cincinnati's Master of Education in Educational Leadership Online Program Helps Educators Reach Goals

While the demands of work and home life make it seem impossible for many working professionals to consider continuing their education, there are thousands who through online learning find a way to reach their educational goals and advance their careers. Cincinnati, OH (PRWEB) July 25, 2006 -- While the demands of work and home life make it seem impossible for many working professionals to consider continuing their education, there are thousands who through online learning find a way to reach their educational goals and advance their careers.

Johnna Hunt is a mother of three and Social Studies teacher at Hillside Middle School in Naugatuck, Connecticut. She is currently entering the second year of the University of Cincinnati's online Master of Education in Educational Leadership program. Her goal is to become a school administrator.

"The flexibility of the online atmosphere certainly helps with three small daughters at home, (ages six years, four years and eighteen months) working full-time, and a husband who works the night shift," said Mrs. Hunt. "Needless to say if it wasn't for the University of Cincinnati's M. Ed. online program, I wouldn't be in graduate school at this time."

The University of Cincinnati's online Master of Education in Educational Leadership program connects working educators with a dynamic community of dedicated professors, accessible research, and a devoted student support team. This unique program combines the quality and high standards of the university's on-campus academic programs with the flexibility of online studies. Students who complete the online program receive the same prestigious University of Cincinnati Master's degree as students who attend classes on campus.

"As for the program, I absolutely love it! The courses are wonderful," continued Mrs. Hunt. "I find myself looking forward to doing my coursework because of its content. I really enjoy the communication with my classmates. I also think we actually communicate more being online. Very often on-campus classes don't allow you the time to have conversations with all your classmates."

Graduates of the program can become school-level K-12 leaders in public, private and parochial schools. The program can be completed in as few as two years. In many states, this program also satisfies the academic requirements for principal licensure. UC's MEd program in Educational Leadership has an impressive 100% pass rate on state principal licensure exams for program graduates who have reported their results.

The program is accredited by NCATE* and meets the standards for the preparation of administrators approved by the Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium (ISLLC). The University of Cincinnati's College of Education is celebrating a century of excellence.
