New Appointments at ACCOR Hotels in China
Accor Asia Pacific is pleased to announce the following appointments to its fast growing hotel network in China.
Bangkok, Thailand (PRWEB) July 27, 2006 -- Accor Asia Pacific is pleased to announce the following appointments to its fast growing hotel network in China.
Maarten Boers has been promoted to General Manager Delegate -- Hong Kong SAR. His new responsibility will be added to his current role as General Manager of Novotel Century Hong Kong (http://www.accorhotels-asia.com/Novotel/index.asp?WT.mc_id=50017). Maarten joined Accor nine years ago in the Netherlands, and following an assignment in Belgium, Maarten moved to Hong Kong where he has been at Novotel Century Hong Kong since 2003.
Marc Cherrier has been appointed General Manager, Novotel Peace Beijing. Marc joined Accor in 1991 at Novotel Atlantis in Shanghai before moving to Sofitel Central Hua Hin Resort in Thailand. Most recently he was General Manager, Novotel Xinhua Wuhan since 2004.
Christophe Pairaud is the new General Manager at Novotel Xinhua Wuhan. Christophe joined Accor in 1993 and moved to Thailand in 1995 for his first assignment in Asia. Since then, Christophe has held senior management positions with Accor hotels in Vietnam, Korea, and China and was most recently General Manager, Novotel Hefei.
Francis Goh is the new General Manager at Novotel Hefei. Proir to this promotion Frances was Executive Assistant Manager at Sofitel Grand Park Hefei since 2003. He has also held senior operational roles with Zenith Hotels, Kempinski Hotels and Holiday Inn.
Peter Lam has been promoted to General Manager, Mercure Suzhou Park Hotel & Suites (http://www.accorhotels-asia.com/mercure/index.asp?WT.mc_id=50017), which is scheduled to open late 2006. Peter was most recently Resident Manager of Novotel Xinqiao Beijing and joined Accor when Century International Hotels became part of the network. Before joining Accor Peter was with other hotel groups in Greater China including Ritz Carlton, Hyatt and Regal Hotels.
Bertrand Courtois has been promoted to General Manager, Sofitel Trilec Nanchang (http://www.accorhotels-asia.com/sofitel/index.asp?WT.mc_id=50017), which scheduled to open late 2006. Bertrand has been with Accor for over 15 years starting with the Sofitel Paris Arc de Triomphe before moving to Asia in 2001. Following assignments in Vietnam, Bertrand relocated to China where he has been Executive Assistant Manager, Sofitel Hyland Shanghai since 2003.
Urs Mosimann joins Accor in China from the Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya and will be the General Manager of Pudi Boutique Hotel Fuxing Park Shanghai when it opens later this year. Urs previously worked with Accor in Thailand at Sofitel Raja Orchid Khon Kaen and Novotel Bangkok on Siam Square.
