This marks Cvent’s 14th consecutive profitable quarter. Cvent also signed a record number of new customer contracts in the first 6 months of 2006. A few of the new clients include organizations such as Kodak, Symantec, Barron’s, Del Monte, the University of California, American College of Cardiology, the Art Institute of Chicago, Investment Company Institute, Marcus and Millichap and Troutman Sanders.
In addition to Cvent’s expanding client base, the McLean-based company has grown internally, reaching a total of 150 employees this quarter. The employee growth accompanies several new product developments for Cvent. Cvent’s Event Management tool has undergone a number of enhancements including: increased functionality for eMarketing, standard and custom reports, enhanced email templates to further automate communications, task lists with reminder features, upgraded 508 compliance for the disabled attendee management, advanced compliance with PCI standards for increased online security, additional offline payment options, an improved contact import wizard, advanced name badge options and upgraded navigation features. Cvent has also announced the release of the Event Budget Module, a complement to the Event Management solution, along with the latest enhancements. The budget tool organizes event spending data and provides the insight needed for successful negotiation, event planning and management. To assist event planners in payment collection, Cvent has provided another e-commerce payment gateway for its clients in Canada, Australia and Europe through new integration with Cybersource. In addition to this new partnership, Cvent has been named a top 20 VeriSign partner, the world’s large payment gateway provider. VeriSign’s payment division was recently acquired by PayPal and has been Cvent’s eCommerce partner for 6 years.
The surge of new product developments from Cvent comes as a direct response to customer feedback. In addition to the Event Management Tool enhancements, Cvent will be announcing several new product initiatives during the third quarter of 2006.
