Baby Girl Onesie Created to Help Women Become Mothers

DJ Baby Clothing has created a black onesie t-shirt to raise funds and awareness for RESOLVE, The National Infertility Association. The onesie features an original, pastel flower design; making it easy for your baby to look good, while you are doing good.

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) July 31, 2006 -- How much can one little shirt do? If it's the Power Flower T, the answer is a lot. The Power Flower T is an adorable, black onesie that was created by Atlanta mother Caren Cohen. The shirt was originally conceived because Cohen had never seen a baby girl onesie that was black with a sweet, feminine design. Tired putting her daughter in pink or making her wear 'black rocker chic' she decided to create her own shirt. Cohen soon realized that the shirt could be more than a fashion accessory. It could be a tool to bring awareness to a cause close to her heart, infertility. With the goal of helping couples "fill those onesies" with healthy babies, the Power Flower T was born.

In addition to raising awareness, the shirt will also raise funds. For every shirt sold, $2.00 will be donated to RESOLVE, The National Infertility Association (www.resolve.org). This little shirt will help women achieve the families they dream of and truly give power to the Power Flower T.

"The original inspiration came from a fashion dilemma for my daughter," explains Cohen the 34-year-old mother of two, "I solved that by creating the onesie. But since I created it for my daughter, I realized it was because of her that I needed the shirt in the first place. My daughter is not only the result of love, but also the wonderful fertility treatments that were available to me. My intention is to give other women the opportunities that I had by supporting an organization that has been championing this cause since 1974. RESOLVE offers couples so much, from local support, to advocating for patient rights, to providing access to information and education," explains Cohen

Unfortunately infertility strikes a large percentage of women. According to the CDC, over 7.3 million Americans, 1 in 8 couples, have some sort of impaired ability to have children* Clearly there is a need for an organization like RESOLVE that offers support, education and advocacy. The Power Flower T is proud to support this cause financially, as well as raises awareness by bringing publicity to a disease that many feel is off limits or taboo.

More shirts sold equals more money for RESOLVE, a wonderful way to make a baby girl a true diva. The Power Flower T, along with DJBaby's hand painted Originalls, can be found on-line at www.djbabyclothing.com and at select retail locations.
