San Rafael, CA (PRWEB) July 29, 2006 -- Vin Antico presents celebrity chef Paul Luna for a cooking demonstration on Wednesday, August 9, 2006 from 5 – 10 PM to introduce the restaurant’s new menu and weekly Spaghettata special, as well as the restaurant’s new resident chef, Roland Robles. For $15, customers can mix and match their favorite pasta with custom sauces created on the spot by chefs Luna and Roland at Vin Antico, located at 881 Fourth Street, San Rafael, Calif.
“I wanted to remind customers of the stripped-down purity of the fresh flavors in good Italian food,” says Luna, of Italian and Spanish backgrounds, declared in August 2000 one of “6 Creative Restaurant Geniuses” by Atlanta Magazine.
Vin Antico’s owner, Kerri Cerundolo, invited Luna to consult on the restaurant’s culinary identity and help with menu development.
“Chef Luna’s mix-and-match concept with sauces and ingredients opens our menu up to a world of possibilities,” says Cerundolo, whose restaurant also houses a wide collection of formidable wines at reasonable prices. “The weekly ‘Spaghettata’ promotion introduces our guests to the endless flavor combinations their palates can experience at Vin Antico.”
Soon after she opened Vin Antico to the public in May, Cerundolo realized that the restaurant needed a streamlined culinary concept that the kitchen could deliver with consistency, but would also leave the door open for creativity.
“Chef Luna has really set the stage for both Vin Antico and Chef Roland to deliver consistently creative dishes to our guests. I can’t wait for people to come out and see the talent that stands behind our restaurant,” says Cerundolo.
Vin Antico will hold a weekly Spaghettata every Wednesday evening. The restaurant is also now open for lunch. For more information, contact Vin Antico at (415) 454-4492.
