World of Warcraft Gold Alert: WoW Gold Sellers Beware

Blizzard has finally taken a massive stance against gold selling and powerleveling services. Has Blizzard finally put a "World of" hurt on Warcraft gold sellers?

Newburgh, IN (PRWEB) July 30, 2006 -- Selling virtual goods for real cash has produced many multi-million dollar businesses. The fight to keep the World of Warcraft economy stable has been long between Blizzard and the multitude of WoW gold selling sites that can be found all across the internet.

With Blizzard's efforts to keep the game economy stable many gold selling sites and farmers have hit what seems to be a brick wall.

"WoW gold is currently out of stock." is the message that many gold buyers are currently seeing due to a massive action done by Blizzard.

"As part of our efforts to eliminate cheating from World of Warcraft, we recently banned approximately 59,000 World of Warcraft accounts in the month of June, and with that removed well over 22 million gold from the total economy across all realms. While we regret having to take such extreme action, these accounts were participating in activities that directly violated World of Warcraft's Terms of Use, including the use of third-party programs to farm gold and items. Such behavior not only negatively impacts the economy of a realm, it diminishes the achievements of those who play legitimately. We will continue to aggressively monitor all World of Warcraft realms in order to protect the service and our players from the harmful effects of cheating", states Blizzard on the main WoW community forums.

Will this blow be the end of gold selling or was it just another battle in the war? Either way, many World of Warcraft website owners are preparing for the best and the worst that this may bring.

"With Blizzard's new stance on gold sellers and farmers it has become harder for the casual player to quickly amass large quantities of gold without putting in hours upon hours in-game. Blizzard seems to be making it difficult for the casual gamer to compete against someone who spends 8 hours a day playing the game", states Dan Enlow, owner and founder of freewarcraftguides.com.

"Never fear...Totally Free World of Warcraft Guides is here to help the casual gamer reach the top levels in the game with a minimum time investment by supplying the game guides necessary to compete with the hardcore gamers."

Totally Free World of Warcraft Guides website at the moment has 34 different guides consisting of powerleveling guides, World of Warcraft gold guides, player vs player guides, and also has free giveaways available for newsletter subscribers.

More information can be found at the website and on the website's World of Warcraft blog.
