John Gay, CFP® and his firm, Frisco Financial Planning, offer fee-only, "pay as you go" investment and financial planning advice based on biblical principles of money, possessions, and stewardship.

John Gay, CFP®, a Certified Financial Planner(tm) practitioner in the Dallas suburb of Frisco is one of a small but growing number of financial planners who is actively advising his Christian clients based on scriptural principles of money, possessions, charitable giving, and stewardship.

"What our society teaches about money is, in many cases, directly opposed to what God teaches in the bible," says Gay. "Christians who desire to please and serve God need a financial advisor with a Biblical worldview, otherwise the advice they receive will be at odds with their values."

John Gay serves as the Director of the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) branch of CFPN, the Christian Financial Professionals Network (http://www.cfpn.org).

CFPN is endorsed by notable evangelical pastors and scholars including Chuck Swindoll, Tony Evans, Ken Boa, Andy Stanley, Chip Ingram, Crawford Loritts, Randy Alcorn, Dave Ramsey, and Max Lucado.

Mr. Gay has completed in-depth training on all facets of Biblical financial principles under the teaching of Ron Blue, President of CFPN, and notable Christian financial planner and author (and contemporary of the late Larry Burkett, founder of Crown Financial Ministries). Mr. Gay is also a trained small group leader for Crown Financial Ministries.

"There are over 2,300 biblical verses related to money, possessions, and stewardship--more than almost any other topic. Christians want to be good stewards of the financial resources to which God has entrusted them, but often they don't know where to start. Frequently they need help understanding what the scriptures say on the subject, and then guidance in making changes so that their lives are in line with the Lord's plan for them," says Gay.

Mr. Gay's firm, Frisco Financial Planning, offers its services on a "flat-fee, pay as you go basis" and does not impose any minimum income or net worth requirements on its clients. The firm is compensated solely by its clients and receives no payment from third parties or through commissions from the sale of financial products.

"Following God's plan in the area of finances can be a life-changing process resulting in true financial peace of mind. Once a Christian's finances are in order, that peace usually spreads throughout other areas of their life as well," says Gay.

The firm's principal, John Gay, CFP®, CLU, CEBS, has been advising individuals and families on financial matters for over twelve years. John Gay and his family attend Stonebriar Community Church and his son, Robert, attends Legacy Christian Academy. Frisco, Texas is one of the fastest-growing cities in the country and is located twenty minutes north of Dallas near Plano, McKinney, and Allen.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. (http://www.cfp.net) owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board's initial and ongoing certification requirements.
