Authors Launch Foundation to Coincide with Release of Children's Adventure Series

Mother and daughter writing duo team up to inspire the world's children.

Cherry Hill, NJ (PRWEB) August 22, 2006 -- Out of the darkness, came the light for two South New Jersey women. New author Leah Monte Litzner along with the help of her beautiful daughter Adrian Nicole, announce the first novel in their new adventure series titled, "Angel Applegate and the evil crystal eye of Zinkubus" to be released in book stores this fall on October 28th 2006. It's being called the next Harry Potter because of its wildly imaginary journey and fascinating characters. With only limited releases, these first time authors are already seeing a following of children wanting more.

It is an awe-inspiring story whose hero is a powerful eleven year old "kid angel" named Angel Applegate. Despite the serious deadly warnings from a sarcastic six foot talking book named Lord Libarious, Angel Applegate convinces her kid angel friends, as well as her zany one thousand year old cat-man named Romba to go on a dangerous forbidden mission to Earth. Their goal is to save the world from evil, by bringing back to Heaven the crusty evil crystal eye of the Zinkubus. Up against the riotous evil Zinkubus kids and the Evil Zinkubus himself who has been responsible for the deaths of thousands of angels throughout time, their mission is a perilous journey.

Most everyone has thought sometime in their life about the possibilities of the existence of angels. As a matter of fact there are several award winning authors today; that have written books about just such an amazing thing. However, never before has there been an author who has written an adventure story, quite like this.

"The children of the world are in desperate need of good moral guidance and attention."

The thought-provoking concept of "fearless kid angels," came to Leah from a dream she had one night four years ago. In the dream she spoke to an angel in a place we know as heaven. This angel took her on a scenic tour to show her the marvels of his own peaceful, yet busy dimension. The angel said to Leah that he was giving her an idea for a children's story filled with lessons and amazingly colorful twists and turns to help teach and inspire earth's children to make good choices in their lives.

"The children of the world are in desperate need of good moral guidance and attention," said the angel. In thanks for receiving this wonderful gift, Leah and her daughter Adrian intend to donate half of all proceeds made from Angel Applegate to Oprah's Angel Network.

"There is power in doing good deeds; that's what's really cool."

To facilitate Leah Monte Litzner and daughter Adrian Nicole's own mission to help inspire children with creativity and promote morals, learning, and fun the two new authors have ambitiously founded the non-profit Angel Applegate Kid Angel Awards Foundation. The foundations purpose is to raise money to give children positive recognition for demonstrating positive behaviors, deeds, and activities through awards such as the "Golden Angel Trophy" and savings bonds for education. The foundation's motto is "There is power in doing good deeds; that's what's really cool."

Children in school grades one through nine will be invited to enter Angel Applegate awards contest throughout the year. The first announced contest is the national essay contest: "What Are You Most Proud of Doing?" The First Prize winning entry will be awarded a $1000.00 Savings Bond, a signed first edition of "Angel Applegate and the evil crystal eye of Zinkubus", and a Golden Kid Angel trophy.

"A Child who is appreciated for doing positive things will be rewarded with positive results in their future - along with humanity," says Leah Monte Litzner.

As Angel Applegate and her kid angel friends are on a mission, so to are authors Leah Monte Litzner and Adrian Nicole, to write thrilling new children's adventure novels and to inspire children nationwide with, education and creativity as their main focus.
