Bari J. handbags have been chosen by designers, Katherine Noyes and Donna Lou to be featured in their 2006 runway shows.

And soon, they’ll be making heads turn on fashion runways as well. This month Bari J. handbags will be featured in the runway shows of clothing designers, Donna Lou and Katherine Noyes at San Francisco Fashion Week™ (August 23-27).
The line, created by Bay Area designer Bari J. Ackerman, has been noticed for its old world charm as well as its modern sensibilities. While gorgeous to look at with fabulous vintage flair, Bari J. handbags have been created with conveniences that say “Sure, I’m adorable, but I’m meant to be worn.”
In addition to being featured on the runway, Bari J. handbags will be available for sale at the San Francisco Fashion Week™ boutique, Friday, August 25th.

About the Designer
Raised in Chicago, Bari Ackerman, (the J is for Jill, her middle name) was originally trained in the theatre arts. With a passion for costume and design, it was a natural progression to turn to fashion. Bari began creating jewelry from vintage and found pieces in 2000. By 2005 Bari had turned her focus to handbags when she was unable to find a feminine vintage-style look that suited her own needs.
