Get Licious lead singer Matt Wise used to return fan mail for Miss Universe in New York. With his band’s debut album being released August 1st, he’ll have to start answering his own in Los Angeles.

The L.A.-based quartet has signed a distribution deal with Avant Garde A Clue Inc. to release the band’s eponymous CD Get Licious worldwide.

"I heard their record and I knew they had something special. I wanted the rest of America to hear what Los Angeles already knows," said musician and label President John Romano. "These guys are something else."

With their infectious blend of rock, funk, and reggae, Get Licious has attracted a rabid fan base throughout southern California, selling out legendary clubs like The Gig and Key Club in Los Angeles. The band has even started hosting the last Wednesday of every month at The Gig in Hollywood.

Get Licious' debut single “Bedroom Window” has attracted attention and airplay and is featured on the popular compilation Best of Los Angeles Vol. 2. Songs from the new album have also been tabbed for feature film projects currently in production.

While working for the Miss Universe Corporation, Wise advised fans of the pageant queen to follow their dreams. After the company requested he stop posing as Miss Universe and send form letters as told, the songwriter decided to take his own advice. He moved to Los Angeles and formed a band shortly thereafter.

Get Licious will be available worldwide, exclusively on iTunes, beginning August 1, 2006.
