Against Industry Concerns, The Dream Team Supports FTC Proposed Business Opportunity Rule

The Dream Team, an Arizona based home training organization, is in full support of the new FTC Business Opportunity Proposed Rule.

Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) August 2, 2006 -- The home-based business opportunity industry is in a huge uproar, concerned the new proposed rule by the FTC to govern opportunities will restrict or damage companies ability to conduct business. However against all requests, the Dream Team, America’s first completely live, guaranteed training organization is in full support of the proposed rule. The Dream Team believes this rule will compliment their desire to ‘clean up’ this industry.

“For years, almost half a century, this industry, especially MLM and Network Marketing companies have gone almost unchecked while consumers have been lied to, misrepresented and falsely lead to believe it’s ‘easy’ to make money in a home-based business. The techniques, like making a list of friends and family, commonly taught in this business don’t work. In fact, the failure rate is greater than 90%,” says Gino Niccoli co-founder of the Dream Team. The proposed rule would require full disclosure of how much money a person is making, what the actual odds of success are with a particular company, a ‘cool down’ period before someone can sign up, etc. “These rules have applied in risky markets for years. The investment industry would never tolerate some of the claims being made by some of these home business opportunity companies. The FTC passed the Telemarketing Sales Rule in 1996 for that industry and it has literally changed that business. “The biggest change in those other industries that we believe the FTC is trying to make happen here is that the individual be held responsible for their actions not just the company and this will have a sweeping effect on this industry that we support 100%,” says Mr. Niccoli.

It’s important to note that the Dream Team feels that the home business industry, in general, is a great industry providing real opportunities for the average person to become successful. A few bad examples of companies and individuals have given this industry a bad reputation. Most people run when they even hear the term ‘multi-level marketing’. The Dream Team has always swam upstream, teaching techniques that work in any marketing environment and purposely educating the public on techniques that are being taught that just don’t work. The Dream Team teaches people how to think and operate as business owners, not like employees, and this had always upset the ‘old guard’ in home based businesses. The Dream Team has helped more than 4,356 people in 25 countries generate more than $15,000,000.00 from their home based businesses, many of whom never made a nickel for years until they found this unique training organization.
