Denver, CO (PRWEB) August 1, 2006
The Filmlot has announced the launch of its new e-zine and resource website for new and independent filmmakers. The launch also includes a giveaway where visitors have the chance to win top filmmaking software.
The Filmlot’s new web site has a wide variety of content, including: interviews with up-coming independent filmmakers, articles written by industry professionals, current film news, a film history section, film festival dates and deadlines, forums and links.
The Filmlot’s latest feature is its networking application. Filmmakers can use ‘The Networker’ to list themselves and find other filmmakers to work with anywhere in the country. “We know how tough it can be to find the people and the resources you need to produce these films,” said Michael Cerda, founder of The Filmlot and a filmmaker himself. “The Filmlot’s goal is to help make the process easier.”
When users sign up for “The Networker” between August 1st and October 20th, they will be entered into a drawing to win top industry software including Final Cut Pro Studio (courtesy of Apple - http://www.apple.com/), Budgeting and Scheduling software (courtesy of Entertainment Partners - http://www.entertainmentpartners.com/) or the Scriptwriter’s Suite (courtesy of Final Draft - http://finaldraft.com/).
“We love the growing culture of independent film. It’s shaking things up and changing the current view of filmmaking. We just want to do everything we can to support it,” says Cerda.
