Open-Source Spreadsheet OLAP: Palo 1.0c Released Today / 1st Palo User Conference in September

With more than 10.000 downloads Palo (http://www.palo.net) is the most successful Open-Source BI-Tool in the spreadsheet OLAP market. The new release Palo 1.0c brings improved performance as well as some minor bug fixes to the popular Excel Database Add-In. The first Palo User Conference will be held on September 29th in Frankfurt/Main.

The new Palo 1.0c version has been released by the Jedox GmbH and is now available for download on the Palo website. It is a bugfix release and also contains some minor improvements in terms of speed and functionality.

The first Palo User Conference will be held in Frankfurt/Main Airport on Friday 29th September 2006 and covers the topics: product strategy, development road map, best practices and successful solutions of Palo. The conference addresses developers, users and decision makers of Business-Intelligence-Software taking a closer look at the further technical development and the application areas of the Open-Source MOLAP database. Application experts and developers will discuss their Palo solutions with the audience.

The conference program includes the keynote held by Kristian Raue, CEO of the Jedox Company and initiator of Palo, lectures about the technical development and live demonstrations of the use of Palo in Business Intelligence applications in companies. In workshops experts will show advanced modelling techniques and “hacks and tricks” with Palo.
