Peanut Free Zone Classroom Posters
Nicole Smith, the author of two children's books on food allergies has created classroom posters stating "It's Cool to be Peanut Free!"
Colorado Springs, CO (PRWEB) August 2, 2006 -- Peanut and tree nut allergies are on the rise, and so is the need for allergen free zones in school classrooms, cafeterias and churches.
As you prepare for the school year to start, make sure that other teachers, parents and students know “It’s Cool to be Peanut Free!”
It’s this motto that is placed on laminated 9 x 12 posters created by Nicole Smith, the author of “Allie the Allergic Elephant: A Children’s Story of Peanut Allergies” and “Cody the Allergic Cow: A Children’s Story of Milk Allergies.” These posters can be used in school cafeterias and on classroom doors in schools or churches to let others know to keep peanuts out and to keep peanut allergic children safe.
Peanut allergies affect approximately 1 of 125 children in the United States. To ensure their safety, many schools have created peanut free zones in the cafeteria or in the child’s classroom. These zones need to be well marked, and the poster allows others to know “It’s Cool to be Peanut Free!”
