Leave a Free Audio Tribute to Online Obituary Guest Books at Legacy.com

New capability enables users to verbally express thoughts and memories in online guest books

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) August 1, 2006 -- Adding the power of voice to the way people celebrate the lives of lost loved ones, Legacy.com, the leading provider of online obituary services to newspapers, today introduced Audio Tributes, a free online service to honor those who have passed. Audio Tributes enable users to leave a voice message as part of a person’s online obituary guest book.

Voice is a very powerful, personal way to pay tribute, and now people can voice their condolences, thoughts and memories through an obituary guest book entry
Audio entries join written entries and photograph submissions as a way for users to express their thoughts and memories in guest books, available on the Legacy.com hosted online obituary sections of almost 300 newspapers in the U.S. and Canada.

"Voice is a very powerful, personal way to pay tribute, and now people can voice their condolences, thoughts and memories through an obituary guest book entry," said John Bikus, chief marketing officer for Legacy.com. "This feature further expands and enhances the way people celebrate the lives of loved ones."

To record an Audio Tribute, visitors to a guest book click "Leave Audio Entry," and are then provided an ID number, toll-free phone number and further instructions. Messages can be up to one minute in length. After recording, users can play back and re-record their message as often as needed before submitting it to the guest book. Submitted Audio Entries are screened for appropriateness before posting.
