Lancaster, CA (PRWEB) August 4, 2006
When school commences this fall, millions of elementary, middle and high school students around the country will be in for a very special treat. In fact, their school lunch experience may never be the same again! That’s because the music scene’s latest pop diva, Britney Christian, will make her formal introduction to many of them in a most unique way … via their milk cartons!
Britney Christian is the new face of “Milk Rocks!”, http://www.MilkRocks.com, a national campaign developed by Blue Ridge Paper Products, Inc. commencing August 2006 to promote the benefits of milk as a healthy alternative to sugar-based drinks. Starting soon, hundreds of millions of milk cartons and posters will be distributed in over 50,000 schools across the United States, each month, all bearing Britney’s photograph, name and website information.
The campaign is particularly timely since school nutrition was a constant focus of media attention this past spring and the issue will no doubt resurface when school resumes later this month. The promotion will also highlight a “Milk Rocks!” jingle co-written by Britney and produced by Elicit Music's Rob Hoffman and Heather Holley, Christina Aguilera's longtime songwriting/production team. The jingle will receive extensive play in various mediums in a further effort to promote milk consumption.
An EP containing two of Britney’s songs will be distributed to the schools and for at least one winner of the major sweepstakes on http://www.milkrocks.com, Britney and her band will perform a free concert at their lucky school. In addition, Britney is slated to tour nationwide in support of the campaign. Not bad for a 16 year old who has yet to impact the music charts!
Britney Christian is not only the new face of “Milk Rocks!” but with the impending release of her first CD, All or Nothing, she is the new emerging face of pop music. With a voice that is best described “Christina Aguilera meets Pat Benatar” Britney simply stated, “Rocks!” Her powerful and soul tinged vocals belie her young age. Unlike many of her peers before her, Britney speaks to a young generation tired of studio-enhanced vocals. She’s the real deal. She is a singer and songwriter with a true, awesome voice and genuine values.
“Milk Rocks!” is a dream vehicle for any new artist. The campaign will likely make Britney one of the most recognizable teens in the entire country. But Britney has been steadily building a loyal fan base and is more than ready.
The Ventura County, CA native has been entertaining in public since the age of four. Since age 12, she has graced many sporting events around the country with her special rendition of the National Anthem. Despite her young age, she has been asked to perform at many of the best known clubs in Southern California most of which she is not even old enough to enter as a patron. Britney continued to build her fan base when last summer; she was selected as opening act for Raven Symone as part of Radio Disney’s summer concert series.
Britney’s explosion in cyberspace however tells it all. Without any promotion, more than 175,000 people have listened to her songs and over 30,000 have registered as her “friends” on http://www.myspace.com/britneychristian .
While she does not ordinarily allow her music to be downloaded, when she does the results are startling. During one week last year, four of her songs were ranked in the top 10 most downloaded songs in the world on MySpace.com and she was ranked number 3 in the world for number of views.
