Albany, GA (PRWEB) August 8, 2006 -- Police officers of Dougherty County, GA, responding to domestic calls, will have new tool this month. Financial relief hotlines to share with families with money troubles, often the root cause of the disturbance. The list of hotlines, assembled by CareConnect USA, connects callers with relief centers in categories of child support, daycare cost relief, debt relief, mortgage assistance, prescription medicine, among others.
According to the department’s Cynthia Battle, a large portion of calls of domestic nature are accompanied by financial strain. “Typically, our officers don’t have resources to call upon to address these issues. Any tool we can turn to, will help our citizens. Perhaps even prevent a call in the future. Now each officer will have a durable laminated list of financial relief hotlines to attach to their clipboards."
