Pension Industry Veteran Joins Team at Dorsa Consulting

A pension industry veteran has joined one of the actuarial industry’s premier firms.

Barton G. Fleming, actuary/principal, has joined the team at Dorsa Consulting, headquartered in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., where he will help the company expand its service offerings. Fleming, who has more than 35 years experience in actuarial services, comes to Dorsa Consulting from Lynchval Systems Worldwide Inc. in Chantilly, Va.

While at Lynchval, Fleming worked with such prestigious accounts as American Express, Jefferson Pilot Financial and I.E. Dupont de Nemours United States, the 10th largest private retirement program in the U.S.

As part of his job, Fleming will be responsible for performing what the pension industry refers to as Asset Liability Management studies, which involves balancing the client company’s investments and investment objectives against the liabilities of a particular retirement plan.
