Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) August 6, 2006 -- Tag-It Pacific, Inc. (AMEX: TAG), owner of Talon™ zippers and a full service trim management supplier for manufacturers of fashion apparel, today announced that the Company’s board of directors has appointed a new independent director, William Sweedler. Mr. Sweedler’s appointment is effective July 31st.
Mr. Sweedler will serve as an independent director on the Company’s audit committee. The Company also announced that Kevin Bermeister has resigned from the board of directors, effective July 31st.
William Sweedler, 39, is the founder, chairman and CEO of Windsong Brands, a diversified brand management company that specializes in the acquisition, development, licensing, and comprehensive creative management of consumer branded intellectual property. Mr. Sweedler has over 19 years of experience in the branded apparel, home, and licensing industry. Prior to founding Windsong Holdings, he was President and CEO of JOE BOXER, a wholly-owned division of the Iconix Brand Group, of which he was Executive Vice President and Director. Prior to joining Iconix Brand Group, Mr. Sweedler was a founder of Windsong Allegiance Apparel Group (WAG), a diverse apparel marketer and brand manager located in Westport, Connecticut, that owned, managed, and licensed the brands JOE BOXER, Hathaway, Change Daily!, New Frontier, Pivot Rules, Alexander Julian, Geoffrey Beene, Ron Chereskin, Hawaiian Tropic, and Stanley Blacker.
