Community Officials and National Celebrities Come Together to Benefit The Youth Of Delaware Through The Duffy’s Hope Foundation

The 4th Annual Duffy’s Hope Celebrity Softball Game on Saturday August 12, 2006 at the Daniel S Frawley Stadium (Judy Johnson Field) ) 801 South Madison Ave Wilmington, Delaware at 6:00pm. This year’s game will bring Hollywood to Wilmington with Robert Ri’Chard (One on One), TeQuan Richmond (Everybody Hates Chris), Kyle Massey (That’s So Raven), Christopher Massey (Zoey 101), Sicily Sewell (One on One), Claudia Jordan (Deal Or No Deal), Shanice Wilson (R&B Singer), Chico & James DeBarge (R&B Singers) and a few other celebrity surprises! A very special pep rally, celebrity autograph and picture session will take place at 12:00noon with the celebrity participants at Prices Run Park located at 26 Locust Street Wilmington, DE 19802to kick off the fun filled day with the community of Delaware.

This year’s host of celebrities will be joined on the field by various city supports including Mike Brown (Wilmington City Councilmen at Large), John C. Carney, Jr. (Lieutenant Governor), Provey Powell, Jr.(President Stop the Violence Coalition), Ty Jones-(Vice President of Metropolitan Wilmington Urban League), Corporal Anthony Easterling (Wilmington Police Department), James N. Mosley (Public Safety Director), Jake Markell (State of Delaware Treasurer), Diane Clark Streett (New Castle County Register of Wills) and a host of others. Previous celebrities participants include: Morris Chestnut (Actor), B5 (Singing Group), Lil Fizz – (B2K), J Boog – (B2K), A.J. Johnson (Actor), Willie Green – (NBA -76ers), Marc Jackson – (NBA 76ers), Darrin Henson (Actor: Soul Food), Khalil Kain (Actor: Girlfriends), Chico Benymon (Actor: Half & Half), Michael Blackson (Comedian/Actor), Isyss (R&B Singing Group), Tanner Richards (Actor: Girlfriends), Headache – (And1 Streetball Player), Vincent Ward ( Actor: Ocean Eleven) and others, so you never know who may come and show up again!

About the Duffy’s Hope Foundation

Duffy’s Hope was Founded in 1998 by Allen “Duffy” Samuels a native of Wilmington Delaware. Duffy’s Hope love of sports combined with his love for children has inspired him to host this event with a portion of the proceeds being donated to benefit various community organizations in addition to his own charity.
