Once considered a sleepy mountain town, Estes Park is becoming a thriving arts, entertainment and vacation community. Recent national attention on several of the luxury homes for sale in the community has drawn attention to Estes Park as a fashionable second home location for the world’s affluent.

“The downtown revitalization has been magnificent with the riverwalk and the new shops,” says Suzy Foy, a professional interior designer and owner of Estes Park Interiors.

This summer, TrendZ At The Park, a contemporary home décor and gift shop opened after an extensive remodel and rebuild of three shops located on a Main Street corner.

"The growth in downtown is very encouraging," states Kathy George, owner of Rustic Mountain Charm, a country décor shop. “Since our opening in 1993, there has been a higher demand for our more expensive items, and we’re seeing a more urbane shopper.”

With a wealth of restaurants and shops, access to the River Walk and convenience to town offices and amenities, living in downtown Estes Park is a new option for the town.

"For several years, communities have been developing their downtown and adding residential to the mix of shops and offices normally found in a downtown," said Robby Carson, a real estate professional with Estes Park Realty," Now there is opportunities in Estes Park for luxury loft living.”

Nine luxury lofts have just been completed in a project called RiversPointe. Although the loft-styled condominiums are new construction, the entire project was designed to look like five or six separate downtown buildings, reflecting the look and charm of the downtown architecture.

According to Lee Miller of MSGPR, a public relations agency that specializes in real estate marketing, downtown loft living has become a trendy option. “It makes for a great place to live or for a nice investment, with loft demand appreciating properties in some cities over 30 percent in value since a year ago.”

Rocky Mountain National Park and Roosevelt National Forest surround the village of Estes Park, Colorado with spectacular mountain scenery, abundant wildlife habitat, miles of hiking trails and scenic drives including Trail Ridge Road over the Continental Divide, the highest paved road in the U.S, and the Peak to Peak Scenic Byway. Located 70 miles from Denver’s International Airport and minutes from Loveland’s Regional Airport, Estes Park is an ideal getaway for the affluent to own homes.
