The SLP 440 features new software, engineered using Mac Universal binaries that allow it to run natively on both Power PC® and Intel-based Macintosh systems, as well as most other common Windows platforms.

2D barcoding software is supported in the new SLP 440. Seiko Instruments Smart Label Printers are compatible with Windows 2000, Windows XP, Mac OS® 10.2 and higher, Power Macintosh® G3/G4, iMac™ and both Intel-and PowerPC®-based Mac computers, making printing labels from nearly any Windows or Mac application quick and easy. The SLP 440 supports both USB and serial interfaces for quick and simple connectivity.

The SLP 440 also offers language support in Chinese, French, Italian, Spanish and Dutch.
