Rosemari Mealy, a PhD student in Capella University’s School of Education, has been named an Outstanding Professor of the Year at the City College of New York Center for Worker Education. The students selected Mealy for her overall professionalism and dedication to higher education.
“It really is an honor. Some of the new approaches that I’ve used, I attribute to my own learning experience at Capella,” Mealy said. “For more than 25 years, I have enjoyed teaching at all levels. My studies at Capella have nurtured and transformed my perception of what it really means to be a good teacher.”
Mealy is an adjunct professor at the City University of New York Center for Worker Education, where she teaches courses on sociology, labor studies, and legal studies. She is also employed as an assistant director of education for District Council 37 of AFSCME in New York.
