Epok Names Marie O'Brien Vice President of Public Sector Sales

Epok, a DC based information sharing company announces the hire of Marie O'Brien as Vice President of Public Sector Sales. O'Brien brings 14 years of experience to Epok from her previous role as vice president of tactical sales for Sun Microsystems.

Epok, a leading provider of information-sharing software, today announced that Marie O’Brien has joined the company as vice president of public sector sales.

In her new role, O’Brien is responsible for all business and business development needs for the public sector, creating and implementing a business plan pertinent to the public sector and building a go-to-market public sector team.

For more than 20 years, O’Brien has been working with emerging and market leading enterprises specializing in cutting edge technologies, systems and applications for global Fortune 500 corporations, the federal government and other key market verticals.

Prior to her work with Epok, O’Brien was with Sun Microsystems for more than 14 years, ultimately serving as vice president of tactical sales for Sun’s Global Government organization.

O’Brien studied at the American University and has also participated in trainings with the NAFO Management Development Program, Six Sigma for Everyday, Malandro Corporation 21st Century Selling and Zig Zigler Professional Training. She was a founding member of the Sun Global Mentoring Program for Women & Minorities and a director of the Sun Americas Diversity Task Force. She is a member of Women's Unlimited.
