Fast-Rising Comedian Tony George searching for funny people in every country in the world to appear on his international television show.
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) August 10, 2006 -- ComedianTonyGeorge.com has announced the launch of the "Funniest Person on Earth" competition. Average, ordinary people as well as professional comedians and performers, will compete before a live audience, to see who is the "Funniest Person on Earth."
Comedian Tony George comments on the show from his weblog, http://funniestpersononearth.blogspot.com/, "I am looking for the funniest person on Earth. Man, woman, or child."
As part of his new "World Comedy Project," he is producing a series of television shows featuring comedy from every country in the world.
Comedian Tony George continues, "There has to be comedy everywhere, doesn't there? At some point, a guy in Kyrgyzstan has to be eating dinner with his wife, and at some point he has to have stuck out his tongue with a mouthful of chewed food at her, no?
"Do they even have comedians in places like Tajikistan? Do they have electricity in Tajikistan? Has someone taken a picture of someone doing something funny in Tajikistan? If so, I want to include it in the show. Tajikis, please send it to me.
"Do they have the equivalent of the Three Stooges in Mongolia? How about cameras that don't freeze up in the 50-below weather? If so, send the sketch to me."
Entrants do not have to be a professional comedian, actor, or performer. Anyone can enter, by sending a dvd or vhs copy (5 minutes or less, they will not be returned) of themselves being funny, to:
