Brunswick News Selects VoicePort

The three daily newspapers of Brunswick News select VoicePort’s speech recognition application to field circulation phone calls.

Pittsford, NY (PRWEB) August 29, 2006

Brunswick News has selected VoicePort’s CircPort speech recognition application to handle circulation phone calls to the Times & Transcript, The Daily Gleaner, and The Telegraph Journal. With a combined daily circulation of over 100,000 the Brunswick News newspapers will utilize VoicePort’s OnPremise solution.

CircPort will be directly integrated to the Brunswick News PBS database. This integration allows for real-time transactions including payments, vacation holds, and delivery problem reporting. Subscribers to the three newspapers will be able to access these features 24/7. Additionally, Brunswick News will utilize CircPort’s outbound calling feature for service expiration reminders and subscription renewals.

“After extensive analysis of our call center costs, we saw significant potential savings with VoicePort,” said Dan Mlodecki, Manager of Manufacturing Operations at Brunswick News. “CircPort’s outbound capabilities were a key component of our ROI calculations.”

“Many newspapers are seeking to decrease their call center costs through a combination of consolidation and automation,” said Kevin Cawley, Director of North American Sales at VoicePort. “Brunswick News will now be able to offer improved customer service with less expense.”
